We arrived at school early to get our moko on for kapa haka but I was confused on where to get my uniform. So I went to room 5 but no one was there, other kids said you get it for your classroom but girls were getting changed. Soon or later all the girls done so I got my uniform so at the speed of light got changed and went to the hall. I got my moko on and apernile I was the one of the last ones. I got to has something to eat and as soon as I bite into my apple we were told to go to the courts. We went on to the bus and left.

As soon as we arrived we lined up and went under a markey. One school were doing there Kapa haka. Once they were finished, Wai did there kapa haka we watch . Then we left and got ready. It was about 20 mins until we did our kapa haka. We went on to the stage and Hunter started to sing Tu mai ra. I started to feel embarrassed that I had to wear a skirt in front of hundreds of people. song after song I look for my family in the crowd but I could not see them. We sang Tu mai ar, Harae mai a paoa, Ka pioioi, Puri anei, Utaina, The Wainui haka, Ka mate, Wanui e and E honore and then we walked out.

The Marine Reserve

The Marine Reserve

We had arrived at Te Tapuwae o Rongokako Marine Reserve. We got diving gear and Jo told us everything we need to know. Then we  got changed, we dashed down to the beach. In our groups we got into the water.

We put our flippers and masks on. Neve, Finn and Louie all need a boogie board so I went in to another group. So we swam out and on the way I saw some fish. Jo said look a crayfish and I looked but I couldn't see it, then I turn around and then I saw it and we swam on. We came across more crayfish 5 under a rock I also saw a black fish what I have never seen before. Then I was put in to Fly's group we showed her the the crayfish then we saw a gray sea slug. Then we saw a lots of Kina.

Then Stormur got cold so Fly had to take him back. I was cold to so Fly said do you want to come back, then I said NO! I want to make the most of it so I stayed with Rio's Dad. We saw more Kina and they were like the size of a soccer ball. Then we were all cold so we all swam as fast as we can back, arms and legs. On the way we pretty much saw everything before, it got more shallow so we had to take off are flippers and walk back to the shore. Once we were there I played with Finn, and we threw rocks at another rock. It was 30 mins until we left so we got changed and talked and then we left.

Te Poho o Rawiri Marae

On thursday the 12 of september I went to Te Poho o Rawiri Marae for a school trip, (camp) I was nervous and excited at the same time and for my first time. The first thing we did was put are bags by the fence and sat on the ground after that. we had to wait for like 20m only we were will comed onto the marae. Once we were will comed on we got given hongi and got into are activated we started off by walking up Titirangi. BARK BARK WOOF WOOF barked this giant dog everyone got a fright.

We carried on with the walk. We went past a logging truck fuel station and a massive electric generator. We all crossed the road and got onto the footpath, it still was a long way to Titirangi hill. We past a building site but I didn't know what they were building. We all saw a big logging ship and we were finally at Titirangi hill. We started walking up Titirangi hill it was all ready exhausting when just starting walk up the hill. I felt like I was a on a BBQ the het was boiling hot. Thank to the trees for shelter but then we had to start walking up stairs STAIRS (very steep). The stairs looked like they went on forever but it did we came to some monkey bars in the middle of nowhere. Some people started to climbing on them and I was one of them. we finally to the pace we need to be. we got split into groups of three. We did our thing and just got the bottom of the hill and walked back to the Marae. we had our morning tea and we could have biscuits and a organ. YUM YUM YUM it was deelishis and a bag of twisties.

Sweet and Sour

Sweet and Sour

Today I did a sweet and sour experiment that really flipped me out. First I chose who I wanted to be with. Finn and Louie were my partners, we got our instruction and read it.

Once we finished reading it we got our materials and we got started. First we got our stuff ready, we started the experiment. First we put in 1/2 teaspoon citric acid. Then we put in the 1 teaspoon of icing sugar. 1/4 of a teaspoon of baking soda and 1/2  teaspoon of flavour. Then we we mixed it in all together in a paper bag. Once the sherbet was ready I was the first one to try it out.

Once it was in there my mouth started to foam up with foam. I flipped out like CRAZY. Then I just swallowed it, to stop it from foaming up. Then Finn had his turn and he flipped out too but not as much me. When Louie had his turn he fell on to the ground and rolled over, he thought it was going to burn a hole in his tongue but in didn't. Then we had to pack up so we all put more into are mouths so we could finish the packet.

Cross country 2019

Cross country 2019

I got up and took my sweatshirt off and joged to the starting line. "On your marks, get set, BANG!" Shouted Matua Nic and off I went. I started off as a steady pace so I could save energy. When I got to the sandy hill I started walking because it was hard to run up the hill. "Go Willy Go!" Shouted my Mum. I got up to another sandy hill someone was in front of me and they were walking so I cut in front of them. I kept on going. "Go William go." said Koka Jacky. I went faster, I breathed in and out. I passed Koka Terri and Steffan, I went down the the grassy bit that I like a lot and went back. Past Koka Jacky and made a dash for the finish line. "Go Willy go." shouted my mum. I was on my last lap. I got back up to the sandy hill again."Go Willy go." My Mum said. "You've got the coolest  T shirt." Said the principal. I passed Koka Jacky then passed Koka Terri and Steffan, I went down the grassy hill and went back. I passed Koka Jacky for the fourth time and sprinted for the finish. I finished at lasted.
