Young Nick's blog

Going Back
I went to Young Nick's Head ecosanctuary on a Friday. It was a super tiring walk walking up the super steep hill. When we got to the top of the hill we had lunch but then we had to walk all the way back down which was super annoying. Then we had walk all the way up another hill. When we got to the top everyone ran down the other side of the hill. We had made it to the main place of the ecosanctuary. We got to see a tuatara, pat the tuatara and got to see a whole heap of wetas AMAZING! It was like going back 6500,000 years ago to see the tuatara.

Penguin boxes for little blue penguins

Our Inquiry Topic is: Actions speak louder than words

This term we made penguin boxes to help our native flora and fauna.

We did this because we wanted to cport little blue penguins.

We placed our penguin boxes at wainui beach.

To monitor our penguin boxes we a google map to locate our penguin boxes

Nga Manu Waiata will further support us by helping us cport little blue penguins.

Check out our Gisborne Herald article about our penguin boxes here
